Train with Us and Spread Holiday Cheer
This month, FSRC has a few holiday activities planned in conjunction with our December Training Day. Because our November Canned Food Drive was such an enormous success, we have another opportunity planned that will allow our club to make a difference in our community. In lieu of a training fee, we are asking our members and friends to make a donation that will support a local family that could use a helping hand this holiday season.
Miss Ginger Thompson is an amazing local grandmother who is the sole caregiver for her two grandchildren, one of whom has special needs. Miss Thompson’s own serious illness makes the holiday season even more challenging. As a club, we’d like to bear some of the weight of her responsibilities by collecting donations that will be used to provide Christmas gifts and clothing for Miss Thompson’s family. Please consider spreading some holiday cheer with the Thompson family by making a donation that will be hand-delivered by Officers of FSRC. You can donate via credit/debit card or with your PayPal account.
We are also planning to do a Secret Santa Gift Exchange among ourselves during a break at our December training day. We are asking each person to bring one wrapped gift valuing $10.
Help us establish traditions of holiday cheer both within our club and out in our community.
Don’t forget to register to train!
